In May 2018, the residents of Jacinto City celebrated the grand opening of their outdoor new pool after not having a swimming pool for the last two summers due to the old pool being unusable. Unfortunately, it floated up out of the ground severely damaging the pool structure and adjoining concrete apron surrounding the pool along with the water lines. After an extensive cost analysis to repair the damaged pool, it was determined in the long-term interest of the city it was best to demolish the old pool and replace it with a new modern pool.
