The Maggs Physical Activities Center Natatorium is home to the Salisbury University men's and women's swimming teams. In 2020, the facility underwent a sizable renovation project which took eight months to complete. The men's and women's swimming teams' home was completely gutted and refurbished over those eight months. One of the renovation's highlights was a new ventilation system that will make the pool area less humid during meets and practices. Along with a new state-of-the-art filtration system and a new LED lighting system, the facility is more energy-efficient than in the past.
Renovations to the six-lane, 25-meter pool included the installation of new starting blocks and anchors, new handrail anchors, a new pool filter, pump, strainer, chemical treatment system, water level controller, pool piping and valves, and new wall sumps on the pool wall; and regrouting of the pool tile.
The facility also features large glass windows allowing natural light to stream into the indoor space and give an open-air feel to the pool, along with a newly constructed outdoor sun patio perfect for sunbathing.
