Sundance Hills Swim & Tennis Club

Greenwood Village, CO

VIEW ALL PROJECTS

Counsilman-Hunsaker conducted a comprehensive aquatic assessment of the Sundance Hills Swim & Tennis Club's three bodies of water. Following a thorough examination during the site visit and follow-up discussions with the owner/operation team, Counsilman-Hunsaker generated a detailed narrative highlighting the facility’s aquatic shortcomings. Additionally, they provided an opinion of probable costs for recommended or requested improvements.

Responding to the assessment findings, the Sundance Hills Metropolitan District significantly upgraded various aspects of the club, including the park, clubhouse, tennis facilities, and pool area. The remodeling and expansion of the existing pool facility aimed to extend its life for an additional 10 to 15 years of use.

A new front desk space in the entry provided a thoughtfully designed space to allow staff to service visitors efficiently and safely. The three existing pools were resurfaced with new plaster, and the waterline tile was replaced to improve safety conditions and aesthetically enhance the bodies of water. The skimmers were replaced, and the starting blocks were resurfaced at the lap pool. At the dive pool, a stair entry was added to the existing 3-meter springboard, and an existing 1M springboard was re-surfaced. A new wading pool was constructed, with an ADA access zero-depth entry, a new play structure, and various water jets. The improvements provided increased accessibility and play value for the wading area.

The Sundance Hills Swim & Tennis Club underwent a transformative upgrade, addressing aquatic deficiencies and incorporating improvements that positively impact the facility's functionality and overall aesthetic appeal. These enhancements stand as a testament to the commitment of the Sundance Hills Metropolitan District to providing an exceptional recreational environment for the community.
