Formerly called the Westside Y, the newly renovated Herman and Kate Kaiser YMCA (Tulsa’s Backyard) opened in the summer of 2021.  Since so many local kids do not have a backyard to play in, the City of Tulsa wanted to be able to provide a space where kids can play, learn, explore, and grow as individuals, as well as together with their families; therefore, the facility is touted as “Tulsa’s Backyard.”
