Bunker Beach Water Park

In the fall of 2018, Anoka County retained Counsilman-Hunsaker based on breadth of aquatic experience to undertake a plan to renovate or replace the wave pool at Bunker Beach Water Park as well as perform a facility-wide infrastructure assessment. Counsilman-Hunsaker provided various options and budgets for different wave pool layouts and configurations that included replacing the existing wave pool, expanding the wave pool, and adding a children’s area as part of the wave pool. County officials elected to move forward with replacing the existing wave pool with the addition of the children’s area. This option also includes the construction of a new restroom building that would include men’s, women’s, and family restrooms.
