The City of Pflugerville retained Counsilman-Hunsaker for the renovation of the Gilleland Creek Pool. For over 25 years, the pool has been a great community asset, with more than half a million visits and tens of thousands of Learn-to-Swim participants over its lifetime.
Work on the pool included health and safety improvements, important to ensuring the pool will continue to be a safe and enjoyable facility for years to come.
Renovations included replacement of the pool’s existing interior finishes, as well as replacement of the mechanical systems, including suction and return piping, pumps, filtration systems, pool heater, chemical treatment, and automated systems. Each of these new systems are “smart” systems which automatically notify staff of any issues, thereby improving efficiency.
Gilleland Creek Pool is a popular site for swim competitions and lap swimming, so these new updates will also improve the swimmers’ experiences.
