Alecia Stegenga has worked in aquatics for more than 15 years. Commanding a vast knowledge of aquatic operations, Alecia has worked in aquatic facilities ranging from small indoor centers to large waterparks, including facilities with both indoor and outdoor operations. She holds both a Bachelor's degree in communications and a Master's degree in Digital Media and Sports Media from Valparaiso University. Alecia also maintains numerous certifications with the American Red Cross as a Lifeguarding Instructor, Lifeguarding Instructor Trainer, Water Safety Instructor, Water Safety Instructor Trainer, and Lifeguard Management. She is also trained as an American Red Cross Aquatic Examiner and has been working with the Counsilman-Hunsaker Aquatic Management Program (CHAMP) team since 2019.
Alecia has been swimming for as long as she can remember, culminating her competitive career on an NCAA Division I team. Alecia enjoys spending her summers outside by a pool or a lake as often as possible.
